Börja med att klippa av 45 cm av lakanet på kortsidan. Du kommer då alltså ha ett stort stycke tyg kvar som är 240x215 cm och en mindre remsa som är 45x240. Av remsan klipper du sedan 9 st trianglar enligt måtten ovan.
Sy ihop fyra trianglar längs diagonalerna. Sy sedan ihop de återstående fem. Innan du syr ihop de båda "halvorna" så nålar du fast banden för upphängning i toppen. Tänk efter en extra gång så de kommer på rätsidan när du sedan vränger allt. Sy ihop de båda halvorna, men lämna öppet cirka fem centimeter längst ner mellan två av dem (för att kunna trä in röret). Notera att jag valt den fållade kanten av lakanet som bas på triangeln för att slippa fålla själv.
Vik in en kant runt om lagom stor för att du senare ska kunna föra in röret. Se till så att rätsidan blir slät och fin. Insidan av fållen kommer du att behöva rynka lite för att få till en cirkel. Jag sydde sedan runt hela (även över öppningen) med raksöm ungefär där ni ser att den gamla fållen är.
Tag nu lakanet och rynka den sida som är 240 cm och som du klippt i. Den redan fållade kanten hamnar alltså ner mot golvet. Jag rynkade med en fisklina, men du kan så klart använda en vanlig stark tråd. Längden på det rynkade tyget ska vara lika långt som omkretsen på cirkeln. Mät.
Fördela rynkorna jämt innan du nålar fast tyget räta mot räta så att kanten på lakanet hamnar precis vid sömmen du sytt. Där kanterna (långsidorna) möter varandra så lägger du tyger omlott några cm så ser det snyggare ut när du hänger upp det.
Trä in ett "el-rör" i fållen och klipp av det så det blir precis lagom stort.
Tejpa ihop röret med silvertejp och tråckla ihop tyget för hand så röret och eltejpen döljs. Klart! Vräng sänghimmeln så rätsidan kommer ut. Stryk bort tråkiga vikränder och skrynkla sedan ihop sänghimmeln för en lite skönare och mindre stiff look.
